Jesus is the Firstborn of God, being the first resurrected by the Father (Rom. 8:29; Col. 1:15, 18).
In the same manner, Christians will become like firstborn children to the Father in the first resurrection at the sound of the last trumpet (Heb. 12:23; Mat. 24:31; 1 Thes. 4:16-17).
In doing so, the firstborn of God will be part of the Family of God and rule in the future kingdom of God (1 Pet. 2:9; Luke 19:12-27).
